Dans le cadre des Journées Photographiques de Bienne, le Collectif Le Salon a le plaisir d’avoir été invité par le Photoforum Pasquart pour présenter sa nouvelle exposition. “Stammtisch” examine la symbolique complexe des espaces communautaires traditionnels. Au centre de l’exposition se trouve une table ronde, qui sert de toile de fond pour explorer la Stammtisch comme un lieu de confort et de controverse. L’installation présentée aux Journées photographiques de Bienne comprend 15 journaux, chacun interprétant artistiquement le concept du Stammtisch, s’inspirant d’une variété de perspectives allant des observations sociétales du département fédéral de l’intérieur aux réflexions de Reiner Maria Rilke, Marie Curie et Pablo Escobar. Ces journaux, exposés sur des bâtons de lecture en bois, offrent un aperçu de la Stammtisch en tant qu’espace de discussions intimes, de débats animés et d’expériences partagées. Cette représentation dynamique incite le public à considérer la nature complexe des interactions communautaires et le rôle de ces espaces dans la formation du discours sociétal. “Stammtisch” n’est pas seulement une exposition ; c’est un voyage provocateur de réflexion sur l’essence de la communauté et de la connexion humaine à travers le prisme de la photographie contemporaine.

As part of the Journées Photographiques de Bienne, Collectif Le Salon is glad to have been invited by Photoforum Pasquart to present its new exhibition.
“Stammtisch” examines the complex symbolism of traditional community spaces. At the center of the exhibition is a round table, which provides the backdrop for an exploration of the Stammtisch as a place of comfort and controversy. The installation presented at the Biel/Bienne Festival of photography comprises 15 diaries, each artistically interpreting the concept of the Stammtisch, drawing inspiration from a variety of perspectives ranging from the societal observations of the Federal Department of Home Affairs to the reflections of Reiner Maria Rilke, Marie Curie and Pablo Escobar. These newspapers, displayed in wooden holders, offer insights into the Stammtisch as a space for intimate discussions, heated debates, and shared experiences. This dynamic representation prompts visitors to consider the complex nature of communal interactions and the role of these spaces in shaping societal discourse. “Stammtisch” is not just an exhibition; it’s a thought-provoking journey into the essence of community and human connection through the lens of contemporary photography.

À première vue, les liens entre le bleu, la philosophie de Jean-Paul et nos mères ne sont pas des plus évidents. C’est par leurs sous-entendus et leurs mises en relation que ces notions composent un portrait en creux de l’ego des artistes, de leurs démarches, de ce qu’ils et elles n’ont jamais dit, jamais montré, ni à vous ni à leurs mères.
Qu’elles soient intimes, sarcastiques, poétiques ou quelque peu critiques, les dix propositions réunies ici n’ont pas l’ambition de constituer une réponse, mais davantage de créer une sorte de laboratoire de pensées et de ressentis où collectivement, nous nous sommes heurtés à nos egos respectifs. À ce que nous en faisons en tant qu’artistes ou, plus encore, à l’empreinte de cet ego sur nos fonctions et nos démarches.
S'il est tant fréquent d’invoquer « sa mère », qu’elle soit biologique ou idéologique en tant que valeurs intrinsèques, la question de l’ego n’y est que trop rarement remis en perspective. Qu’il s’agisse de nos filiations ou de nos peines, il semble en aller de même. Mais quels sont les enjeux réels, les risques ou les gloires illusoires lorsque tout cela se mêle au processus artistique? Peut-on vraiment, à l’image de l’existentialisme, séparer et ordonner l’ego, l’essence et l’existence ?

At first glance, the links between blue, Jean-Paul's philosophy and our mothers are not the most obvious. It is through their innuendo and their interrelationship that these notions compose a portrait of the artists' egos, their approaches, and what they have never said or shown, either to you or to their mothers.
Whether they are intimate, sarcastic, poetic or somewhat critical, the ten proposals brought together here are not intended to constitute an answer, but rather to create a kind of laboratory of thoughts and feelings in which, collectively, we have come up against our respective egos. What we do with them as artists or, even more, the imprint of that ego on our functions and our approaches.
While it is so common to invoke 'one's mother', whether biological or ideological, as an intrinsic value, the question of the ego is all too rarely put into perspective. The same seems to be true of our filiations and our sorrows. But what are the real stakes, the risks or the illusory glories when all this gets mixed up in the artistic process? Can we really, like existentialism, separate and order ego, essence and existence?

IL GABINETTO SHOW – MOMA*

Le collectif présente Il Gabinetto Show au MOMA, Gibellina (IT), un extrait de l'exposition collective "I Was A Galactic Wienerli". Ce projet, initialement présenté à Abstract (Lausanne, Suisse), a réuni dix-sept photographes travaillant collectivement sur le thème du saucisson interstellaire. Il Gabinetto Show, quant à lui, se veut la première édition d'une série d'expositions dans divers lieux, investis de manière inattendue par le collectif et ses invités.

The collective presents “Il Gabinetto Show” at MOMA, Gibellina (IT), an excerpt from the collective exhibition “I Was A Galactic Wienerli”. This project, initially shown at Abstract (in Lausanne, Switzerland), brought together seventeen photographers working collectively on the subject of the interstellar sausage. Il Gabinetto Show, on the other hand, is intended to be the first edition of a series of exhibitions in various places, unexpectedly taken over by the collective and its guests.
We found it! ␥ Its shape, too perfect, too smooth ␥ some morbid on a background of kitsch plasticity ␥ a neologism. Falsely learned and made zany by its nonsense ␥ - Did you say Wienerli? ␥ Porosity can have various origins ␥ I met Mila on 27 September 2016 in front of a ciringuito in Barceloneda. ␥ I had never had the opportunity to see the wienerlis in real life before they disappeared. ␥ the ornament of a distant tribe ␥ used in the interpretation and exploration of seismic activity in the solar corona. ␥ What would happen if the future only remembered our era as ␥ Mila LV-426.

”edICIon est une tentative d’offrir aux maisons d’éditions locales et régionales de Bienne et alentours, une plateforme sur laquelle ils peuvent présenter leurs produits et leurs activités à un large public.”

THERE IS NO TIGER IN LAUSANNE

Après 3 jours et 3 nuits cloîtré, faisant de standard/deluxe son territoire, le collectif explore les limites créatives de ses membres, exprimées par cet instinct animal que force la promiscuité. De cette résidence, résulte un travail commun hétéroclite évoquant l’animalité, l’instinct ainsi qu’une quête déterminée par un état peu commun, tout comme est rare le tigre dans nos contrées.

After 3 days and 3 nights cloistered, making standard/deluxe its territory, the collective explores the creative limits of its members, expressed by this animal instinct that promiscuity forces. The result of this residency is a heterogeneous body of work evoking animality, instinct and a quest determined by an unusual state, just as the tiger is rare in our country.

Sous le signe de l’hétérogénéité, le collectif le Salon propose une immersion dans le monde invraisemblable du wienerli galactique. Les 16 photographes réunis spécialement pour cette thématique, invitent à un voyage inédit autour de la saucisse interstellaire. Aussi bien philosophique, sociologique, scientifique, onirique, psychédélique, le wienerli se métamorphose jusqu’à en être libéré de son état d’aliment populaire.

Under the banner of heterogeneity, le Salon collective is offering an immersion into the unlikely world of galactic wienerli . The 16 photographers brought together especially for this theme are inviting us to take an original journey around the interstellar sausage. Whether philosophical, sociological, scientific, dreamlike or psychedelic, the wienerli undergoes a metamorphosis until it is liberated from its status as a popular food.
